Food from the Bar

Each year, legal bar associations in counties across California organize and support Food From the Bar (FFTB), a month-long program of activities designed to combat hunger and improve food insecurity in local communities. Hands-on collaboration with volunteers from law firms of every size enables a friendly parlay of competitive natures to come together and raise money for each of the regional food banks.
Our Walnut Creek and Los Angeles offices are proud to make notable contributions to the FFTB drive annually. This wouldn’t be possible without the kind support and involvement of our loyal vendors and local businesses, who come through every year to contribute bid-worthy gifts and prizes that make our yearly fundraising raffle an event all its own. Through these efforts, we are impressively able year after year to contribute 100% of all proceeds raised to our local food banks, which helps feed more than 132,000 people (from children to seniors) throughout the counties they serve.
The spirit of the entire event is lively and inclusive from month’s start to grand finish every Spring. We gratefully wish to thank our vendors and local businesses servicing the Los Angeles and Walnut Creek offices. Their donations of goods, services, cash, and items for auctions and raffles helped Food from the Bar increase its fundraising success in 2018 once again.

Making an Impact on Hunger

What propels us to organize and commit to this cause each year?
Every one dollar raised provides four meals for the hungry. The efforts and support of Archer Norris attorneys and staff benefit the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties in Northern California, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in Southern California.

Continuing joblessness and underemployment increase the number of people suffering from hunger daily.  Archer Norris is proud of our sustained commitment to countering the impact of hunger in California.

Our 2018 efforts saw over $15,000 raised for the Food Bank. Our per capita donations reflected the wonderful generosity of our lawyers and employees alike throughout our offices. We would like to take a moment to thank our generous donors for helping to make this event a success:
