WALNUT CREEK, CALIF., June 7, 2007 – Archer Norris, a leading California law firm with a focus on complex litigation and business transactions, is pleased to announce that partner Edward L. Shaffer will serve as Chair-Elect of the Contra Costa Council for 2007-2008. Shaffer was confirmed during the Council’s annual installation dinner on June 6. During 2007 Shaffer will continue serving on the Council’s Executive Committee and assisting the current Chairman. He will assume the position of Chairman of the Board in July, 2008.
Archer Norris Of Counsel Peter W. McGaw, just ending his year as Chairman of the Board, will continue to serve on its Executive Committee. McGaw also will take over Shaffer’s current role as Chief Legal Counsel.
