New Partners and Special Counsel Usher in New Year at Archer Norris

Press Release | 01.07.09

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF., January 7, 2009 – Archer Norris is pleased to announce a unique class of new partners and special counsel. The firm welcomes César A. Alvarado, Keith R. Gillette and Joseph V. Macha to its partnership ranks, effective January 1, 2009. Craig S. Jones, J. Michael McGuire and Probal G. Young elevate to special counsel, also with the new year.

“These are extraordinary times, and the opportunity to realize more than 10% growth in our partnership and special counsel ranks in this economic climate is a testament to both our new partners’ and special counsels’ qualifications and the resilience of our firm,” comments managing partner Gene Blackard. “As Archer Norris continues to grow, the organizational structure must also evolve to recognize the diverse ways that attorneys can enjoy professional success. The growing size and complexity of our practice makes the shift from the traditional partnership model inevitable as we move toward a more business-oriented system that benefits us and the clients we serve.”

The new partners and special counsel support key practice areas and are drawn from all corners of the firm:

Alvarado litigates complex commercial cases with an emphasis on multi-party environmental tort litigation, products liability, premises liability and general litigation. He is based in Walnut Creek.
