Walnut Creek, CALIF., February 07, 2011 – Archer Norris announced today that John P. McGill returned to its Walnut Creek office as special counsel in construction litigation and real estate. John previously worked at the firm before moving on to serve as general counsel for a large public works general contractor.
“With his work experience and tenure as both in-house and outside counsel, John is extremely well rounded, with a thorough knowledge of the construction and real estate industries,” explained managing partner Gene Blackard. “John will be an asset to our construction and real estate teams, as well as to industry clients who are struggling to recover from the recession. We are glad to have him back at the firm.”
“I am excited to return to Archer Norris,” said McGill. “The firm has the resources and track record to provide top-notch services to my construction clients. I look forward to working with many of my old colleagues.”
With more than 35 years of experience, McGill focuses his practice on construction litigation and related transactional work where he represents contractors in private and public work disputes. For many years, McGill worked in the construction industry as a general contractor, senior project manager and general manager for large and mid-sized developer/general contractors.
