Walnut Creek, CALIF., April 22, 2010 – Archer Norris announced today that Steven L. Kester has been elevated to partner, resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Kester, a founding partner in the Newport Beach firm of Kester & Quinlan, joined Archer Norris in 2008 to launch its Financial Services practice. A highly-regarded trial attorney, Kester also enhances the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice.

Kester, a former Deputy District Attorney and U.S. Marine, brings a unique combination of experience and accomplishments to the practice of law. With more than 30 trials, numerous arbitrations and mediations, and multiple arguments presented before the California Courts of Appeal and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Kester’s practice areas include banking, real estate, real estate financing, escrow practices, credit reporting, title matters, and investigation and prosecution of a wide range of fraudulent practices. He received his J.D. from Southwestern Law School (1978), his M.A. from the University of California Davis (1975), and his B.A. from California State University Northridge (1974). A Martindale-Hubbell A-V rated attorney, Kester is listed on the Registry of Preeminent Attorneys (2008). He is a member of the San Francisco Bank Attorneys Association, the American Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association.
