Walnut Creek, CALIF., December 22, 2011 – Archer Norris is pleased to announce that Devon Downs (Walnut Creek), Teresa Li (Walnut Creek), Jonathan Lieberman (Walnut Creek), Jessica Romeo (Walnut Creek) and Christopher Trembley (Los Angeles) have passed the California State Bar and join the firm as new associates.

Downs’s practice focuses on toxic tort and complex asbestos, and employment law. She served as an extern for the Honorable Justice Reardon at the First District Court of Appeals and was part of Archer Norris’s Summer Associate program. Downs received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, cum laude in 2011 and received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Occidental College, Los Angeles in 2008.

Li’s practice focuses on litigation and appellate work. She was most recently a law clerk with Archer Norris while completing her third year of law school and externed with three judges in both state and federal courts. Li received her J.D., cum laude from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2011 and earned her B.S. from University of Alberta in 2007.

Lieberman currently works with the firm’s business litigation and transactional practice groups. Most recently an extern to the Honorable Socrates Peter Manoukian, Santa Clara County Superior Court he also took part in Archer Norris’s Summer Associate program. Lieberman received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, School of Law. He received his M.B.A. and B.A., with honors from the University of California, Davis in 2011 and 2007, respectively.

Romeo works closely with attorneys in our litigation practice. Before joining Archer Norris in 2010 as a Summer Associate, she clerked at the Contra Costa County Office of the Public Defender. Romeo received her J.D., magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2011 and received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2004.

Trembley focuses his practice on environmental and natural resources and insurance litigation. Prior to joining Archer Norris as a law clerk, he clerked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Ventura County Superior Court. Trembley received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2011 and earned his B.A. from California State University, Long Beach in 2008.
