Walnut Creek, CALIF., February 10, 2009 – Archer Norris announced today that partner Glenn Mau has relocated to its Newport Beach office effective February 1, 2009. Mau will continue to focus his practice on complex transactions and litigation for the real estate development and construction industries and related businesses throughout the State. Enhancing his real estate practice, Glenn defends finance companies from breach of contract, fraud and Truth-In-Lending violation claims and defends and prosecutes enforcement actions on behalf of homeowners associations. He has considerable experience representing parties in construction defect litigation and mechanics’ lien law issues. Many of his clients also rely on him to provide general counsel and advice. Mau received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1988 and his B.S. from Creighton University in 1985.
“Glenn’s presence in Newport Beach allows us to leverage our strengths in real estate development and construction,” said Archer Norris partner Rich Vanis. “As long as these industries remain vital to California’s economy, Archer Norris lawyers will protect and defend our real estate and construction clients’ business interests.”
“In an economy experiencing a significant downturn, the construction industry has been particularly hard hit. Glenn’s instrumental role in creating and leading the firm’s Lien and Collections practice has been especially helpful to our clients,” noted managing partner Gene Blackard. “Archer Norris has grown significantly in the past year, and Glenn’s experience with the real estate and construction industries adds depth to our burgeoning construction litigation practice in Southern California.”
