WALNUT CREEK, CALIF., April 30, 2007 – Archer Norris, a leading California law firm with a focus on complex litigation and business transactions, is pleased to announce that litigation partner Kenneth C. “KC” Ward has been named a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). The certification reflects Ward’s excellence in the field of civil trial law, based on NBTA’s evaluation of his trial experience and his successful completion of the Civil Trial examination.

“We are delighted that KC has received this certification,” said Lee Archer, managing partner of Archer Norris. “He is a skilled trial attorney who demonstrates an absolute dedication to his clients and has tried over 85 cases to verdict. The expanding volume of complex litigation matters brought to the firm by our litigation clients is due in large part to the strength of KC’s legal skills and the effectiveness of our On Call Trial Counsel team.”

Ward comments, “I take pride in my trial record, and am pleased to have this certification, which testifies to my trial experience and dedication to the legal profession.” Ward leads Archer Norris’s innovative “On Call Trial Counsel” team. Based on the premise that it is never too late to change the outcome of your case, Ward’s team focuses on handling the most complex and intractable lawsuits. As tribute to the success and reputation of his On Call Trial Counsel team, a substantial part of Ward’s practice consists of cases referred by other law firms, often on the eve of trial.

Kenneth C. “KC” Ward exhibits a rare passion and calling in his career as a trial attorney. He has been an aggressive advocate for a great variety of clients in civil litigation since 1974. Ward's effective trial representation is not limited to one type of case. He has tried over 85 trials to verdict including more than 60 in the past ten years. A graduate of Northern Illinois University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Ward’s memberships include the Contra Costa Bar Association, Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the American Board of Trial Advocates where he holds the rank of Advocate.
