As a member of the business and litigation groups, Richard L. Gillespie practices in several areas of the law, including personal injury, property damage, product defect, and contract disputes.  He is also a part of the firm’s On Call Trial Counsel group, as well as the Employment and Human Resources practice group. 

Supporting Clients in Litigation and Trial

Richard offers multiple points of support and representation for clients throughout the litigation process.  He assists his clients pre-litigation, in preparation for trial, during mediation and negotiations, and during trial.  

Before Joining Archer Norris

During law school, Richard served as a judicial extern to two Los Angeles Superior Court judges, and assisted them in writing several legal articles. He also clerked for Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Trust & Estates’ practice.  After graduation, Richard practiced law in Southern California for a firm specializing in criminal defense, municipal law, and civil defense.

High-Profile Academic Experience

In his final year at Pepperdine University School of Law, Richard distinguished himself as the national champion of the 2010 ABA Labor & Employment Law Trial Competition, and received the 2010 Pepperdine Barrister’s Award. He received an undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles in the School of Theater, Film, and Television, and following his graduation received a scholarship to study at the British Academy of Dramatic Arts in Oxford, England.
