With experience on both sides of the litigation practice, Payvand draws upon her diverse background to practice law with a unique personalized approach to client representation. She has extensive experience in handling all aspects of litigation claims from initial case evaluation, pre-filing preparation, discovery, law and motion, settlement negotiations, all the way through trial preparation. Before Archer Norris
Prior to joining Archer Norris, Payvand spent two years at Kabateck Brown Keller LLP, where she litigated numerous high-profile consumer and employment class action, mass tort, insurance litigation, and personal injury claims as plaintiff’s counsel. Payvand also has a strong foundation in corporate regulatory compliance. She spent three years working in the in-house regulatory compliance and legal departments of the nation's leading mortgage companies, where she conducted legislative research and collaborated with various federal and state agencies to ensure compliance with current law. While in law school, Payvand gained experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Fumiko H. Wasserman for the Appellate Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
